What is a Road Legal Quad?
Classed as a quadricycle, the Road Legal quads are registered as a Private Light Goods Vehicle and as such, qualify for the lowest band of Road Fund Licence, currently £110 per annum.
However, they can also be registered as a Special Concessionary Vehicle if used in an agricultural / horticultural / forestry environment, where they will benefit from zero-rated Road Tax (proof required by the VRO)
In order to be eligible to ride on On-Road quad, owners require a full car licence (or full motorcycle licence if issued before February 2001) and the use of a crash helmet is strongly recommended.
